Kirkman’s Kamp is recognised for its long Sabi Sand heritage, family-friendly atmosphere and refreshed homestead character. Its appeal lies in old-world safari charm, strong private-reserve game viewing and a more accessible rhythm than the collection’s most private river lodges.
Kirkman’s Kamp sits in Tengile Game Reserve within the Sabi Sand Nature Reserve, sharing an unfenced boundary with Kruger National Park. The camp is surrounded by 10,500 hectares of traversing wilderness and sits close to the Sand River, with Skukuza Airport approximately 15 minutes away by road transfer.
From the UK, access is usually via Johannesburg or Cape Town, followed by a scheduled flight, road transfer or charter depending on the reserve.
South Africa is generally one of the easiest safari countries logistically, especially for families and first-time travellers.
