Overview

What we love about Jaci's Madikwe House

Jaci's Madikwe House is the collection’s largest exclusive-use villa, built for families, friends and multi-generational groups who want a private safari home inside Madikwe Game Reserve. A malaria free destination and uncrowded big five game viewing make this a popular choice. Five en-suite bedrooms, expansive living areas, a private pool and a dedicated guide, chef, host and vehicle create a fully tailored rhythm, from early game drives to long shared meals and slow poolside afternoons. A host of activities has plenty to satisfy a variety of interests from bush walks, access to the unique underwater photographic hide, photographic safaris, birding and stargazing in this special dark skies location.

Awards

What awards & Acclaims have they received?

Jaci’s Madikwe House is very well suited for group-travel : five bedrooms, complete privacy, a dedicated team and the freedom to shape each day around the people staying there. It stands out for multi-generational safari, pacing your safari around your preferences and warm Madikwe hospitality rather than formal safari grandeur.

Location

Madikwe Game Reserve, South Africa

Jaci’s Madikwe House sits within Madikwe Game Reserve in South Africa’s North West Province, a malaria-free Big Five reserve with strong family safari credentials and varied bushveld habitat. The house is set away from the main lodge for privacy, while remaining connected to Jaci’s guided safari, hides, dining and guest facilities.

From the UK, access is usually via Johannesburg or Cape Town, followed by a scheduled flight, road transfer or charter depending on the reserve. Madikwe is closer to Johannesburg or Gaberone in Botswana.

South Africa is generally one of the easiest safari countries logistically, especially for families and first-time travellers.

Perfect for The Architect & The Called

Jaci’s Madikwe House speaks first to The Architect travellers through its scale, private team, multi-generational fit and shared-safari design. The Called adds the emotional pull of a private safari house where a group can settle deeply into place together.
