Location

Amboseli, Kenya

ol Donyo Lodge is the only lodging in the 275,000 acre Maasai owned ranch set in Chyulu Hills Kenya, within elephant country beneath the Kilimanjaro skyline. The Hills are neighbouring Amboseli and Tsavo National Park. The setting keeps the stay grounded in the surrounding landscape, with wildlife, light and distance shaping the sense of place before each day’s safari begins.

Most UK travellers fly into Nairobi, then either drive to Amboseli or connect by scheduled light aircraft depending on budget and itinerary shape.

The road transfer option is common and useful for Kenya combinations, while flying is smoother when Amboseli is paired with the Mara, Laikipia or the coast.

Perfect for The Immersionist & The Seeker

ol Donyo Lodge speaks first to The Immersionist travellers through ecosystem depth, slower observation, and fewer places done properly. The Seeker adds a clear, generous introduction to wild Africa. Together, the fit is less about ticking off features and more about matching the lodge to the traveller's natural safari tempo.
