Overview

What we love about Lion Sands River Lodge

Lion Sands River Lodge, the most accessible of the Lion Sands award winning portfolio, offers an exclusive safari base on the Sabie River in Lion Sands Game Reserve, South Africa, where river frontage, warm hospitality and a sociable lodge rhythm shape the stay. Its 18 rooms and suites stretch along the water’s edge, with generous main areas, a spa, pool, fitness centre and Creative Lab giving guests space to gather, unwind and turn safari moments into photographs. With it's larger footprint, this lodge lends itself well to families, multi-generational stays or small groups. Game drives move through Lion Sands’ private reserve setting, with Big Five wildlife, strong leopard country and the Sabie River drawing life to the lodge throughout the year

Location

Sabi Sands, South Africa

Lion Sands River Lodge sits on the Sabie River in Lion Sands Game Reserve, a private reserve spanning Sabi Sand Nature Reserve and Kruger National Park in South Africa’s Mpumalanga Province. The reserve’s year-round water, riverine woodland and private traversing create a wildlife-rich setting, with Skukuza Airport close by for straightforward Greater Kruger access.
